The packaging toolkit supports the creation and management of archival information packages, as defined by the oais reference model. This includes functions for handling archival information packages, archival information collections and archival information units. OAI-ORE, SAFE, and XFDU are currently supported as serialization formats. Furthermore the toolkit enables the integration of representation information from various SCIDIP-ES registries.
