The Preservation Assistant (‘PA’) is used independently within the SCIDIP-ES e-Infrastructure to support the process of creating and populating the contents of a registry-repository with preservation data.

Used in conjunction with the RepInfo Registry-Repository Service component, it provides data preservation staff with a simple, intuitive means to preserve knowledge of dataset elements, and optionally preserve the elements themselves within a SCIDIP-ES repository.
